“That ye may be the children of your Father which is in heaven: for he maketh his sun to rise on the evil and the good, and sendeth rain on the just and unjust.” -Matthew 5:45
We have all heard the idiom “April showers bring May flowers.” It’s a nice way of reminding people that things will likely get better if they just hold on.
Sometimes, though, the showers we find ourselves in can seem overwhelming. We can’t seem to find a dry spot to rest our burden. It is at these times that we need to remember to look at the Lord Jesus Christ.
For generations mankind has been asking themselves why bad things happen to good people. Job asked it as he was going through a trial the likes of which most of us cannot fathom. Job didn’t find the answer in his lifetime and we won’t either.
Sometimes the storms of life are lessons or trials from God. Sometimes they are the storms all of mankind goes through. Sometimes the are of our own making and sometimes they aren’t. No matter the reason behind the storm we must follow our Saviour. He is the one who can calm the storms we face in life.
